Vermont Farm Life: Chickens, Cows, and Sheep in Acrylic and Watercolor
The characters of the little Vermont farm or backyard friends will be brought to life in watercolor and or acrylic! Improve your drawing and observation skills, learn about painting methods in both acrylic and watercolor, dive into color theory and relationships to create beautiful compositions of your favorite farmyard animals! This class is appropriate for all levels - beginning to advanced.

Morning Collage - Painting with Paper, Fibers, and Thread!
Join me for this fun, colorful, and dynamic way to create art as we explore the world of collage and mixed media painting! This class will introduce you to the “processes of painting with paper” while also delving into new approaches for those continuing in collage. With a vast supply of papers, fibers, threads, found objects, and paint, create a series of small format works of art that can stand alone or work as a series!

Working BIG! Large Scale Flower Painting to Brighten Up the Winter Darkness
Have you ever wanted to channel your inner “Georgia O’Keeffe” but working BIG seemed intimidating, not knowing how to begin, or you just didn’t have the space? Now is your chance! Join me as we blow things up to a grand scale with large brushes, palette knives, and more on big stretched canvas. Work in either oil or acrylic to make bold and beautiful flowers to brighten up our walls and winter days! All levels are welcome!

The World of Monotype Printmaking: one of a kind painting
Painting with experimentation, layering, and creative “Ah ha!” - Monotype printmaking is the art of painting directly onto a printing plate, build in layers, imbed textures and object, and print a one of a kind painting on to the paper. Learn about gel plates, glass plates, chine collé, and using an etching press! So fun, experimental, and addictive! Flower themes, landscapes, and abstractions (for all levels of art makers looking to try something new - all materials included)

Word & Image: Combining artmaking and poetry
Join me for this creative journey of art and expression through both words and visual art! Each week we will be inspired by a work of poetry that participants will share with the group (original or a favorite you love). From there, we will explore a different art form each week to illustrate the words. We will explore expressive watercolor, ink drawing, collage, and monotype printmaking. At the end of class we will take our art and words into a small artist book! (beginners welcome - all materials provided)

Looking for creative things to do during school break? Join me for one or all of my 1-day kids art workshops! Open to students in grades 2-6, limited to 6 students per class, all materials provided.
