Join me for a five week series as we learn All about the art of painting with paper! We will begin creating our own paper surfaces using a variety of printmaking and painting processes. Whether you are a returning collage fan or this is your first try, this class is for you as we move from the basics to new approaches in collage and mixed media art.. Learn techniques in texture, relief, layering and depth as we create beautiful compositions with handmade papers, fibers, and unique surfaces from around the world. Options of mixed media elements with paint, pastel and more!

Join me for a morning exploration and meditation exploring watercolor techniques of washes, wet on wet, masks, and brush work. This beginner to intermediate friendly class welcomes you to envision the winter walk in the woods through birch and pines and cardinal imagery. Through drawing instruction as well as watercolor methodology, create a beautiful piece for yourself or holiday cards or gift giving!

Join me for this colorful exploration into the world of soft pastel painting. Learn about materials and techniques to build underpainting, layering, mark making and more. This class is for those new to pastel and if you are continuing to learn the medium! Each week will be a different theme in both still life and landscape compositions.

Dramatic skies bookend our days and bring us brilliant color to brighten up the winter landscape! Join me for a vibrant class exploring moments sunrise and sunset in oil. This class will work on several small format paintings using wood cradle panels. Learn about priming, underpainting, brushwork, color and more as we improve our oil painting techniques or begin learning them for the first time!

Join me for a deep dive into value, contrast and dimension as we learn about the versatility and techniques of charcoal drawing. Winter in Vermont is the perfect muse to strip back to artist’s world of black, white and grey! Create a series of dramatic landscapes, small and large scale! Open to all levels.

The characters of the little Vermont farm or backyard friends will be brought to life in watercolor and or acrylic! With a vast supply of papers, fibers, threads, found objects, and paint, create a series of small format works of art that can stand alone or work as a series!

Have you ever wanted to channel your inner “Georgia O’Keeffe” but working BIG seemed intimidating, not knowing how to begin, or you just didn’t have the space? Now is your chance! Join me as we blow things up to a grand scale with large brushes, palette knives, and more on big stretched canvas. Work in either oil or acrylic to make bold and beautiful flowers to brighten up our walls and winter days! All levels are welcome!
